Why you need to plan your Career!
The answer is easy but significant. Planning works, and it has been proven that planning helps to achieve results. A plan can help us achieve goals, and a plan forces us to define a goal or a future state we want to achieve. We plan many things in our lives, like the next vacation, sometimes years in advance, the next doctor’s visit, family events, birthdays, etc. We plan because these events or people are important to us, and we want to achieve something that needs preparation and planning or something so important that we want to ensure we remember and are prepared.
Let’s be honest: How much time did you spend planning your career?
Most people need to plan their careers, and their efforts to progress are minimal. As a result, there is no career, or they are stuck in a role they are not happy with.
Without planning a career, you put everything on one card, which is luck that something happens by magic. This can happen the same way people win the lottery, but I would not bet your career and your professional development on luck and magic.
A career is a significant achievement, as it defines some significant professional development steps and often comes with not only responsibility but also an increase in salary and benefits and the opportunity to grow and learn more. This is a fantastic combination, so it is worth investing time, effort, and resources.
Now, there are influencing factors we need to consider when we plan a career, and yes, the earlier you start, the more time you have, but it comes all back to having a plan and knowing what to put into the plan.
This course will help you uncover significant career secrets and more and bring them into your plan.
